NFO Installation Instructions

Overview of Installation

1. Determine whether you have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader (any version will do) on your computer. If not, download and install it first.

2. Select an NFO Installer package from the options on the right and click to download, following instructions on screen.

3. Unzip the NFO Installer package you have selected. (These are self-extracting archives which require no additional software to use.)

4. Click on SETUP.EXE to install Nomination Forms Online.

Please reconsider registering with NFO. You will get the best information about the program and its updates. The White House 2001 Project will never make your name or email available to those outside of the project.

Special Note on Hours of Operation
	The CallNFO Help Desk has reduced its operations. Having met its goals and extended its operations one year past the original project deadline, we have closed down the operation of the 800-service and staffed desk operations. You can still contact the help desk through email. See below.
	Special Note on Downloading A user has reported that his browser tried to launch NFO immediately after downloading, but could not find the file, thus, generating an error message. What to do? NFO has successfully downloaded, but the brower has lost track of the install/update file. Simply use Windows Exploerer to search for the text "InstallNFO" or "UpdateNFO" (depending on what you did) and copy the found file to a new directory on the C: drive, i.e., C:/DownloadNFO. Double clicking on the file will launch the installer/updater. Call us if that doesn't work.
